This hands-on master class will take you from basic design and cake decorating techniques to working with buttercream and royal icing for a finished three-tiered display cake. Students will get an overview of the many piping techniques that were originally taught by Wilton's founder, Dewey McKinley Wilton.


<iframe width="560" height="315" src="" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <p><b>In Master Piping, you will learn the following:</b></p> <p> <li>Three Essentials of The Wilton Method of Cake Decorating</li> <li>Basics of icings, including preparation, uses, tinting and storing</li> <li>Key basic piping techniques including stars, dots, rosettes, drop flowers and petals</li> <li>Key piped borders including shells, curved shells, ropes, zigzags, ruffles, swags, leaves, and specialty tip borders </li> <li>Specialty piping techniques</li> <li>Key piped flowers, including those piped with flower nails</li> <li>Applying color and design techniques for cake</li> </p> <p><span style="background-color: #FFFF00">This 10-day class will only be held at The Wilton School in Darien, IL (Chicagoland area).
